Dave brings to Main Street Realtors over 30 years experience as both an attorney and a real estate broker. He started his career in San Jose, where he and an associate started their own law firm in 1970, specializing in insurance defense, small business and real estate law.
He became a broker in 1978 and began doing brokerage, group investments, and development. In 1982, Dave retired from his law partnership to devote his full time to real estate matters.
For many years, Dave was active in the apartment industry, buying and selling apartments. He was also active in the Tri-County Apartment Association as a member of the Board of Directors and as an officer.
In 1993, Dave and his wife moved to Aptos. Since then, he has continued to engage in the real estate business as the broker of record for a small development company before joining Main Street Realtors.
Over the years, Dave has been involved in just about every form of real estate transaction, including single family residential purchases and sales; apartment rentals, purchases and sales; commercial property purchases and sales; land leases; group investments; and tax-deferred exchanges.
In addition, Dave has extensive knowledge and experience in development matters, having been involved in the development, construction, and sale of subdivisions, single family residences, apartments, residential townhome and condominium projects, office buildings, and office condominium projects.
Dave recognizes that not every real estate project goes exactly according to plan, and that problems are often encountered. “I am a problem solver. When a client comes to me with a real estate need or problem, I consider it a personal challenge to satisfy that need and/or find a solution to the problem in a manner that satisfies the client.”
In his spare time, Dave likes to spend time with his family and enjoys photography and playing tennis, but his mind is never too far from his special interest – real estate.
