Born In Oregons Willamette Valley, I came to Santa
Cruz county in 1966 and have made it my home ever
since. In those years, I have lived in most areas
of the county, from Watsonville to Boulder Creek and
have gained a familiarity and love for the variety
of life and natural beauty of Santa Cruz County. My
wife and I raised two daughters in Santa Cruzs West
Side (in a home we still own) both of whom still live
close by, as do most of my extended family. Currently
my wife and I are living in Scotts Valley on an acre
and a half with our German Shepherd Coba. My time
these days is divided up between family, real estate,
home improvement and travel, which we have been enjoying
more of these days.
Over the years I have availed myself of one of our
wonderful community resources, Cabrillo College, which
I attended in the late 60s and continue to make use
of whenever a new interest strikes me. From Cabrillo,
I went into the building trades in the early 70s,
becoming a cabinetmaker, then journeyman carpenter,
and then general building contractor. I owned my own
company (Pacific Builders) based in Campbell, for
several years, building high-end homes and remodels
throughout the peninsula before selling to my partner
to go into real estate. After attending classes at
Cabrillo I gained my real estate license in 1995 and
my brokers license in 2002.
I began my real estate career at Sherman & Boone
Associates in 1995, winning "Rookie of the Year" that
first year and several other production awards in
the following years before joining Main Street Realtors
in 2003. I have had experience across the board from
home sales and exchanges to condominium and subdivision
sales, including working to set up a sales team, organizing
sales agents, lenders, title insurance and escrow
officers to handle the sales of 50 units in a condominium
project in north Salinas. I have also worked as a
commissioner on the County Board of Supervisors, Housing
Advisory Committee (HAC) for the past two years, where
we work to address issues in the local housing arena.
Whatever your real estate needs, Im sure youll appreciate
my knowledge and "nonviolent" approach to real estate.
Let me know if you would like me to put you in contact
with any of my clients.
