Professional Profile
As a Realtor® in Santa Cruz County for 5 years, I offer the perfect blend of experience and accessibility, and I work at Main Street Realtors in Soquel because they provide me the support I need to offer my clients the service they deserve.
My primary commitment is to my clients in the face of whatever challenges may arise. (For details, you may refer to the story: Real Estate Meets Jurassic Park.)
My clients know that when they work with me they have someone who is fiercely resolved to always do what is best for them. And they value my unique perspective and sense of humor, that I use to sort through the sometimes ridiculous situations that arise in the business, in order to get down to what’s real.

A Personal History
I was born in San Francisco on December 8, 1961.
My first home was in a townhouse in the Haight District, across the street from Golden Gate Park. My mother was an artist and my father was a musician. Shortly after my introduction to a stable home life, they took me on a quest all over California that included good times and bad times as they found themselves. Being the oldest of four, I had the pleasure of joining my parents on their entire journey to fame.
I believe it is this journey that made me the smart, outgoing, gregarious, loyal, funny, warm, frank, honest, courageous, real, refreshing, no-nonsense, clever, happy, empathetic, and energetic Real Estate agent I am today.
My mother had a 30-year career as a scenic artist in LA at CBS/MTM, Carsey-Werner Productions. Working on all the great sitcoms, which gave us a special insight to that business. It was always exciting to visit her on set.
My father was a jazz musician who had a career playing sax and clarinet with the likes of Tommy Dorsey, Alvino Rey and many more. He passed away in 2001. Growing up around these colorful musicians was an interesting environment, to say the least.
We started moving around when I was about 6. We lived all over California while my parents attended different schools, moving about every year or so, before finally settling in Sherman Oaks when I was 13. I was pretty shy after all that moving, but LA changed all that. I was an absolute dream child until about 17 but the fast life of the 70s took over, and I was on the crazy train until I escaped to Santa Cruz at age 22.
When I arrived in Santa Cruz County, I couldn’t believe I could live so close to the beach, for so little rent. It didn’t take me long to settle in Corralitos, renting a room from my uncle. Little did I know I would still be in Corralitos 26 years later. I didn’t have a car at first but had a great bike, which I would ride everyday to Cabrillo College and my first job at Piggy Market in Aptos. This was no easy task, but I became a very good cyclist out of necessity.
The next year, I met and married my future husband John after a short courtship. He said he’d buy me a car and take care of me, and I was tired, so I was in. Luckily he turned out to be a good choice. John started out as a sheet rocker but soon joined the sheriff department and is now a Sergeant and one of the top snipers in the country, also working as the Range Master in Santa Clara County, qualifying and training the best of the best.
I am also the proud mother of two adult sons, each of whom is quite talented in his own right. I had the pleasure of being able to stay at home with them while they were young by working as a personal trainer out of my house. I spent 12 wonderful years helping people learn to love to exercise. This love of motivating people still drives my business as a Real Estate professional.
Anyone who gets to know me, also knows that I am an avid runner and a fierce competitor. I began competing with a team of client friends that participated with me in more 10Ks than I can count, most of the time placing in my age group. All of that bike riding I did paid off in the end by giving me strong legs to win.
I have many medals that I’m proud to show for that effort, and I like to bring this same winning spirit to my Real Estate.
My intention is to get you what you want and to make it fun in the process. Contact me any time to experience excellent service, above and beyond the call. |
