Meet Our Team

We are committed professionals who love what we do. And we work in a place where agents and clients can feel comfortable bringing their dog or kid along and still get business done. Here at Main Street, we believe an agent gains respect more by the extent of their knowledge and ability to help people reach their goals, than by the kind of car they drive, the kind of clothes they wear, or frankly, even the amount of business they handle.

Datta opened Main Street Realtors in 2003 to create the ideal environment of support for clients and agents alike, offering high-level service in sales, leasing and property management. Highly active in representing his clients, Datta is respected as a top-tier professional in both residential and commercial real estate. In addition, he is one of only a few select brokers in the area adept in the handling of business opportunity sales, as a member of the California Association of Business Brokers (CABB).

In the wake of the economic downturn of 2008, and after years of building his own successful portfolio, he co-founded the Firmus Fund to provide accredited investors a diversified vehicle for their retirement assets, primarily in real estate and private equity loans. The fund represents the final facet to Datta’s uncommon capacity to assist his clients in every aspect of their real estate journeys, equally committed to their success and happiness with any project he takes on, no matter how large or small.

Datta is also deeply vested in the community, providing commentary and insight on real estate-related topics in his monthly column for weekly newspaper The Good Times, in addition to hosting the public-access real estate show BTS Presents: Silicon Valley and Santa Cruz County Real Estate, Behind the Scenes, on Santa Cruz Community Television (SCTV). He finds these mediums an effective means to help him sustain and share his deeper sense of social and political conscience.

Datta has a love for tennis, yoga, and music, with a strong dedication to family and friends, and he enjoys a rewarding home life with his wife Mari, their daughter Sibri and a houseful of animals including 2 blind cats and the family dog.

Henry was born and raised in San Jose, educated in the San Jose Public School system and graduated from Lincoln High School, then on to SJ City College and San Jose State. His first job at 7 yrs old was a shoeshine boy walking the streets of downtown San Jose working for .10 a shine and .15 a spit shine. In college, he was an Art Major with a Business Minor. After college, he worked in construction and during the winter months he worked in a dental laboratory where he was able to better use his artistic abilities. After starting a family he opened his own dental lab 30+ yrs ago.

Henry’s introduction to real estate was an old gas station his family owned that sat vacant, unable to sell for years. No one wanted to purchase the lot because the site was deemed contaminated with old gas tanks in the ground. Henry took on the job for the family to research the removal of the tanks and learned to work with the Federal superfund and State regulatory and local County Water District and the Fire Dept. This process took a full year to complete the cleanup. But when done the family was able to get top dollar, with Henry also acting as the negotiator for the sale of the property. Many commercial Realtors had told him he couldn’t get the price the family was asking for, but he did his homework on the property and found out that it was actually 2 legal city lots. That was a factor that pushed the price of the lots up and above what the brokers had indicated, and the experience sparked an interest in Henry to pursue real estate as a career about 6 years ago.

Henry enjoys the entire process of serving his clients from listing a property to putting families together with their new home, consulting with first time buyers, coordinating and assisting sellers in preparing their homes for market, painting, repairs and any work to be completed prior to the sale. Henry is highly active representing his clients, and respected as a skilled professional in both residential and commercial real estate. He has a positive attitude that helps him complete many transactions that others might not think possible and he is a valuable resource to not only his clients but also his fellow agents.

Long story short: Henry is a positive force for his clients, and he is ready willing and available to help with all your real estate needs!
